Course material is uninspired and boring. For a capstone course Steve only wants by the textbook answers for projects, nothing innovative or creative, which is notable for a business program. Wants nothing to do with anything new or interesting even if it does follow the rubric, heâll continually say âyouâre writing fiction!â After publicly dismissing multiple groups on their ideas he was asked âwell what would you do in this situation?â. He then made up an excuse and said âI donât know the case like you guys doâ. If youâre criticizing and removing marks for a project worth a third of the class, but have no suggestion of how they could improve, then your expectations and curriculum are so malformed and confusing even you donât understand them. Hard marker, not an issue if he was fair or good at marking. Often groups will contest graded rubrics that were done incorrectly and have them changed. This shouldnât be the standard, care should be taken in marking before hand. He goes on tangents and doesnât cover material clearly, again, being a hard marker would be ok if he himself held himself to high standards of teaching which he does not. His personality is nice enough but gives no leeway to students that most profs would.
